BS in Chemistry - University of Montevallo- GPA 3.9 MS in Chemistry- University of North Carolina at Wilmington- GPA 4.0 Main focus on chemistry, but I was always a fan of physics and math as well. Also when I am working with a student and they are away but have a question, I am always available through texting, and homework help.
Experience
I have tutored off and on for many years, and its something I enjoy doing. I am currently working as a Research Chemist for a thermoplastics company in Mount Vernon. One of my strengths is that I have the ability to explain complex ideas very clearly and in a way that makes them easier to understand. My teaching style is relaxed and involves student interaction. We will work lots of example problems, and I will ask them why they are making the choices they are so that they become accustomed to thinking through their decision process when problem solving.
